Terrie Bennett, a second-generation sculptor, has professionally created art for over three decades. She began her artistic journey under the mentorship of her father and uncle, renowned sculptors Tom and Bob Bennett of Bennett Sculpture. Through this apprenticeship, she mastered composition, form, and the technique of crafting three-dimensional wire sketches. Terrie has received numerous awards and commissions, including a notable project for The Space Foundation, commemorating NASA’s thirty-year space shuttle program. Her work reflects a deep connection to nature and the interplay between form and spirit. Terrie’s project for Buffalo Creek Art was “Blue,” a welded horse sculpture.

My experience was beyond what I could’ve imagined. The ranch house is a beautiful place to rest, create community with the other artists in residence, share meals and stories of our lives and creative process. The working studio spaces and metal shop are full of light and space to dream outside of the box and create something truly special. Steve visits the artists most every day, lending his support and encouragement, while Bill keeps us all on track with supplies in the studio and Mel handles the household. Steve and Lana are such gracious hosts and have created such a supportive, inspiring place for artists to create. It is truly a magical place. I wouldn’t hesitate to say yes again and again.”
