“I’ve wanted to do an art residency for a long time, and finally chose Buffalo Creek because of its focus on sculpture, the facilities, the interests of other residents, the small group size, and the awesome location. I was also looking for a great place to explore new approaches and concepts in my practice and to experiment in an environment other than my own studio. Buffalo Creek offered all of these criteria, and the residency exceeded all of my expectations. If I had any advice for other artists, it would be to enjoy every moment because time goes by too fast at Buffalo Creek, and to spend some time at the nearby Genoa Bar and Saloon, getting to know the locals, who are great people!”
