Caprice Pierucci makes amazing wall-hanging wood sculptures. She received her Master of Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts, New York, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. This was her second visit to Buffalo Creek Art Center, during which she made several new sculptures for the International Art Show in Reno, Nevada, and left two wood sculptures for the BCAC ranch house.

“My September residency at Buffalo Creek Art Center was an absolute artist’s dream. The house, grounds and views are stunningly beautiful. There are wonderful sculptures in the sculpture park and placed around the property. The workshops are spacious and well equipped, and Steve is very helpful with anything advice or tools to help create your sculpture. The group I was with were amazing. We all worked hard, but managed to have a ton of fun. The place is conducive to work and a great break from the real world. Steve and Lana are very generous, and we had several fun get togethers with them. The grounds keepers Bill and Mel are great and helpful. They brought us peaches, kale, greens, green peppers, and wine all grown at the ranch. This was an incredible experience!”
