Matthew Mosher is Associate Professor at University of Central Florida Nicholson School of Communication and Media – Games and Interactive Media. Matthew is an Intermedia artist, Fulbright Scholar, and research professor creating embodied experiential interactive systems. He merges digital and tangible methods of making to address social and political issues. At Buffalo Creek Art Center Matthew made a wood sculpture he took back to Florida and a stainless steel sculpture he made for the BCAC Sculpture Park.

“Completing a residency at Buffalo Creek was a truly amazing experience. I came to the residency with a desire to pursue a new vein in my generative work and create impactful large-scale sculptures. I found the sculpture park at the art center so inspiring that I made the two largest sculptures of my career (so far). One is in wood and the other in metal, which now resides on the ranch. I would not have been able to achieve this without the excellent shop facilities and support of Buffalo Creek Art Center. Sharing ideas and resources with the other residents was immensely helpful as well. I look forward to further dialog with these new connections in the future.”
