“My residency at Buffalo Creek allowed me to focus on a new body of ceramic work that I had begun in Italy earlier in the summer. At the conclusion of the residency, I was able to place two finished pieces in a west coast gallery without worry of long range shipping. What I enjoyed most about Buffalo Creek was the comradery I found with fellow artists, particularly my new honorary sister, Victoria. The living facilities were luxurious, particularly the “couple’s suite” and the well-appointed kitchen that was often stocked with fresh vegetables from Bill’s garden.”
