Tyler Burton received her BFA from Brooks Institute of Photography and is the recipient of four Artists’ Residencies at The Baniff Art Centre in Canada. She is represented by several galleries in the U.S. Her work is collected nationally and internationally and has been exhibited at The American Museum of Ceramic Art and The Whyte Museum of Canada. Burton lives and works in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. At Buffalo Creek Art Center she made one of her “Fossils of the Future” sculptures for the BCAC Sculpture Park and a number of abstract ceramic birds.

“If you are looking for a wonderful sanctuary to focus and create large scale work, this is the place. Buffalo Creek is everything a great sculpture residency should be, providing exceptional facilities for large scale metal sculpting, a beautiful wood shop, a ceramics studio with couple of kilns, as well as space and support to create and work in any chosen materials.

Steve Hardy is a wealth of information and goes out of his way to provide support for all parts of your project. The caretakers Bill and Mel are extremely helpful and generous making you feel very welcome.
There is no doubt that Buffalo Creek is a wonderful environment to explore, create, find solitude, interact with other sculptors and push the boundaries of your work! I am very grateful for my time there.”
