Artist and sculptor Will Nash was born in Bangor, North Wales, in 1973. He studied Multi Media Fine Art at Middlesex University (1994-1997), and gained an MA in Design by Project from the University of Brighton (2004-2006).
At the center of Will Nash’s practice is a concern with form, structure and quantity. His sculptures and installations are the result of ongoing explorations of mathematical forms and the relationships they have with one another. His different bodies of work fall into families of these forms that are connected by a particular geometry, repeating sequences of planes and angles to create similar variations on a theme.
Nash has exhibited regularly since 2001 in both group and solo exhibitions. He lives and works in Lewes, East Sussex. Will’s project at Buffalo Creek Art Center was an amazing metal sculpture “Ferrum Vertex” which is now part of the BCAC Sculpture Park.

My residency was twice delayed due to Covid travel restrictions, it was a huge relief to finally arrive, a positive act after two long years of Covid. The location is beautiful, writing this 6 weeks since my residency, I miss watching the clouds form across the valley from the terrace of the artists house.
The workshop space is fantastic, allowing me to work at a much larger scale than I can in my own workshop back in the UK. It was great to work alongside two fellow metal artists Miguel and Patrick, between us we generated a fun, hard ‘Working’ atmosphere which carried us along to achieve some impressive sculptures. I also loved grabbing a few hours here and there to get up into the mountains above Lake Tahoe, and our lovely afternoon with Steve and Lana on the lake.
Thanks to everyone involved with Buffalo Creek, it’s a special place, I recommend it to any sculptors working in Wood, Metal and Ceramics who want to take their work further. I hope to get back someday to see my sculpture situated.”
