“This residency represented a chance to make a daunting project possible. So, I was very excited to attend. The space, solitude, well-equipped studio, and time helped me tremendously in accomplishing my goal. The site is well managed, and the needs of the artists are consistently met on time. The accommodations are outstanding, and the landscape is breathtaking. All of my expectations were met in stellar fashion!

The people involved were kind and generous folks whom I truly enjoyed. Our peer group would discuss our challenges and accomplishments at dinner every day. We learned from and encouraged each other throughout the experience. Everyone succeeded in their project and brought a new light to the sculpture park. It was a real blessing to work alongside such excellent colleagues.

Our host, Steve Hardy, is a visionary who offered insights and asked questions relative to the work at hand. He has created more space for art and artists worldwide through his residency program. Thank you!

I would tell anyone who comes to BCAC that this is a special place and that one should bring a special project with them to match.”
