Adrian is a metal artist born and raised in New York City. He studied at the Art Students League in New York and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Adrian’s project at Buffalo Creek Art Center was an amazing mechanical horse, Pegasus, Wings of Glory that he made for Burning Man.

“I was invited to do a residency at the Buffalo Creek Art Center at the most perfect time, when I embarked on my journey of creating Wings of Glory, the giant metal mechanical Pegasus, for Burning Man 2019. I began building it in June 2019 at BCAC, until mid- August when I set off for BM. Steve kindly offered me an extended residency to have enough time to construct this incredibly complex and large project, and I could not have built it in a better place. The metal sculpture facilities and equipment are exquisite, with ample space, a big forklift and scissor lift. I would also like to extend a big thank you to Bill Matulich who maintains the beautiful property and helps the artists and their projects with any heavy equipment handling and all sorts of other things. BCAC is also located in such a beautiful area, with a view on the valley, and right below snowcapped mountains, plenty of wildlife and nature.

I greatly appreciate my time at the Buffalo Creek Art Center. Thank you, Steve and Lana Hardy.”
