While at the Buffalo Creek Center Shelley was able to experiment with a new mixed media technique using vinyl sheets and chicken wire to make several unique sculptures.

“I feel fortunate to have been accepted into the creative family circle of Buffalo Creek Art Center. Steve, you allowed me to stretch my creativity giving me time, space and facilities to grow my art. The inviting atmosphere of the ranch, with open fields of vineyards and fruit fields is a refreshing break from hectic Los Angeles. Bill and Mel have provided fresh vegetables for us. They made sure we had what we needed. The home shared with residents, Adrian,Evangeline, Russ and Aussies Don and Bev, was harmonious. I am inspired and ever so grateful. “
